“Information and consultation event on government-related cloud services” was held in Budapest, Hungary on 12.06.2014 in the context of the SECOVIA project. The host of the event was Pannon Novum West Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency.The aim of the event was to raise awareness, at national level, on cloud-based IT services, resources and infrastructures for public administration and also to discuss common approaches for public-private partnership as a means to foster investments to improve virtual accessibility of SEE areas.
In the framework of the event a round table discussion took place where participants had the opportunity to tell what are their experiences related to the “cloud technology in public sectors”: What are the doubts? How it is possible to handle this uncertainty? What kind of social, educational promotions and common actions are necessary to raising awareness on benefits of cloud technology and to inform decision-makers and IT experts.
Several of the participants were agreed that the development and extension of the government and private cloud services will become an important area in the 2014-20 period which means common project ideas may be developed.
